Home of the Wildcats
On Sunday, the Outdoor Education Leadership Team (OELT) enjoyed the slopes of Mission Ridge. Shout out to our bus diver. Mr. Rock who safely got us to and from the hill. Thank you to Andy and Cynthia who volunteered to transport the equipment for us.
We had an eager group of cross country skiers who broke trail at River park yesterday. This group will embrace the snow and ski every Tuesday.
The Grade 7C class finished reading The Thief Lord, and as a final project option, many students chose to make a themed board game to showcase their understanding of the novel. The class then had a chance to demonstrate their trivia knowledge and sportsmanship while having time to play their classmates’ board games.
Yesterday at ELES, we were happy to welcome Saskatchewan Roughriders Brett Lauther and Peter Godber. Brett and Peter braved the icy highways to meet with various classrooms in the school. They read books to some of our younger students and met with our middle years students to discuss mental wellness.
Our students were very excited to meet and learn from such amazing role models. We would like the thank the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation for providing this opportunity for our students!
